Pulse has always been one of my favorite live albums and this release is by far the most elaborate releases Pink Floyd has put out on vinyl to date. The pressings are pristine and the box comes with exquisite artwork and photographs. The booklet states that this is /5(1).

The album's cover artwork was the first ever sleeve design for creators Aubrey Powell and Storm Thorgerson of the Hipgnosis design team, and was to lead to a groundbreaking career for them in the visual arts, including of course many more iconic Pink Floyd album sleeves, amongst them The Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here.

Apr 13,  · I saw them in Cleveland on the Animals tour. My (long time ago) memory was that they performed the Animal cuts pretty much just like the studio album. I don't think they used the quad PA system to any GREAT effect, except before the band started playing, where they panned some sounds around the stadium and got everyone cheering (about when the small jet did a flyover).

This is classic Pink Floyd, well on the way to becoming the mature band that would soon reach world-wide fame with it's album "The Dark Side of the Moon." What we have on this performance is a tight, professional band, who unlike in later years, found room for improvisation and a looseness that would slowly disappear from their repertoire.
